With the recent acquisition by Altera Corporation, Avalon Microelectronics is now the Altera Newfoundland Technology Centre (Altera NTC).
Founded in 2004 by Wally Haas and located in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Avalon Microelectronics (now Altera NTC) is a leading provider of optical transport network (OTN) intellectual property (IP) solutions to some of the world’s largest optical equipment manufacturers, test and measurement companies, and military contractors. The Altera NTC team of systems, design, and applications engineers are renowned for their technical expertise and customizable solutions, including market-leading availability of 40G and 100G OTN IP.
This combination strengthens our ability to help our customers design and build innovative products based on programmable logic for carrier and service-provider networks.
The Altera NTC will continue Avalon’s commitment to helping our customers achieve success with current and future engagements.
