Altera introduces Arria™ GX FPGAs, the fourth generation of programmable logic devices with on-chip, high-speed serial transceivers. Arria GX devices are designed around the technology used in the award winning Stratix® II GX FPGAs. By optimizing Arria GX devices for the three most popular serial interconnect protocols (Table 1), and targeting data rates up to 2.5 Gbps, Altera provides high-speed interconnect capabilities at a lower cost than ever before.
