Software Guard ID: Your software guard ID number is a 10-digit number beginning with a "T" (hardware guards that connect to the parallel port on your PC) or an "S" (virtual guards that are given to you by the MAX+PLUS II Student Edition software). If you have a "T" software guard, you can obtain the ID by using one of the following methods:

Read it from the printed label on the guard.
In the Quartus II software, choose License Setup (Tools menu). The software guard ID is listed in the Local System Info section of the dialog box, in the Software Guard ID box.
Choose License Setup (Options menu) in the MAX+PLUS II software version 9.1 or higher and click the System Info button (your software guard ID is shown in the System Information dialog box).

If you have an "S" software guard, the guard ID is displayed when you install the software.
