In Penang, cabs and taxis are abundant and cars drive the right side of the road. Visitors to the Altera Technical Center are advised to use cabs for their transportation unless they are on a long-term stay where driving would be a better option. Cabs from the airport to the hotel or from the hotel to the Altera Technical Center typically go at a rate of USD $5 per trip.
