EVS & Altera Put the Instant Into “Instant Replay” for HDTV
EVS leveraged the power of programmable logic from Altera to deliver the world’s first live-production solution for high-definition (HD) video broadcasting. The cooperation between EVS Broadcast Equipment and Altera resulted in adding the power of Altera’s programmable solutions to EVS’ live production HD Video Server. EVS’ XT[2] platform relies on Altera Stratix and Cyclone FPGAs for high-performance, cost efficiency, and loss-less image compression. This advantage, combined with EVS expertise in video storage and broadcast production networks sets the stage for EVS to lead in live HD video production.
