“I have used Quartus II software to develop Cyclone series designs for Cluster 5 of the Joint Tactical Radio System program. Quartus II software enables me to bring up designs much more quickly than other PLD tools. The Design Assistant catches errors early in the development flow that would take much longer to solve during simulation, which shortens my development cycle. Also, the Design Space Explorer is better than competing tools at enabling me to achieve my performance targets in a short amount of time. The wireless handheld designs I am working on are extremely space-constrained, so they don’t have the room for traditional external probe debug methods. The Quartus II software's SignalTap® II embedded logic analyzer solves that problem and adds the ability to look at internal signals in the FPGA running at full speed.”
