Altera's Human Resources department focuses on providing programs and services that create a world-class work environment that empowers and challenges Altera® employees. Through developing and implementing effective Human Resource policies, procedures, and systems, we serve our employees and management. Human Resources works in partnership with managers, individual employees, and external partners.
The Human Resources department is comprised of the following groups and serves the following functions:
- Benefits—Creates, plans, and administers all benefit programs
- Compensation—Determines employee compensation and designs plans to ensure Altera attracts and retains top talent
- Employee Relations—Initiates company communication, facilitates the consultation and brokerage of HR services and the enhancement of a positive work environment
- HR Information Systems—Maintains all systems relating to benefits and employee information
- Staffing—Plans and maintains employment activities to ensure Altera reaches its annual hiring goals
- Planning, Learning & Development—Assesses training needs and supplies training solutions for all levels of employees
