Responsibilities:
As a Device Engineer, you will lead the development of compact models for high frequency, on-chip passive and active components used in serial transceivers in next generation products. In this role you will:
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams with circuit design, CAD, process and foundry representatives to define requirements, evaluate alternatives, identify solutions and provide required SPICE model capability for HF components including inductors, varactors, MIM capacitors and MOSFETs.
- Design and characterize test structures for optimization of HF components and for extraction and verification of compact models.
- Evaluate and develop new capabilities required to accurately model HF components in state-of-the-art analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- Develop and implement methodologies for verification of quality and accuracy of HF models.
The successful candidate’s minimum qualifications will include the following:
- PhD in EE, or equivalent, with a minimum of eight years of experience.
- Extensive experience and expertise in HF modeling of passive components and transistors in advanced CMOS technology.
- Extensive knowledge of semiconductor devices, high-frequency device characterization, HF circuits and compact modeling and industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience with HF test structure development, s-parameter measurement, device characterization, model extraction, SPICE simulation and circuit analysis.
- Good written and verbal communication.
