Title: Design Engineer
Location: US-CA-Santa Cruz
Responsibilities:

As a Design Engineer, you will design, implement and maintain IP and tools for embedded portfolio and system-level design tools. You will work with product planning and marketing team members to develop planning and functional definition documentation for new product development, as well as schedule the activity of engineers on these products. You will also be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products to enable customers to design large System-on-a-Programmable-Chip solutions in devices.

The successful candidate’s minimum qualifications will include the following:

  • BS in EE/CS/CE, or equivalent, with a minimum of twelve years of experience.
  • Direct, hands-on experience in the design of software and/or hardware in embedded systems, communications, signal processing or related applications area.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills and knowledge of common data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience in development of complex IP in Verilog HDL or VHDL.
  • Solid understanding of hardware design fundamentals and system-level design techniques.
  • Experience using standard EDA tools in the design of FPGA systems.
  • Knowledge of high-speed communication protocols such as Ethernet and PCI Express.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
