Responsibilities:
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and verification of software features and IP product offerings. You will work to develop high-level product and test plan specifications, provide technical leadership within the engineering team and help to mentor and develop junior members. You will also work closely with senior engineers at other sites to develop new technology and analyze and correct test failures to improve software and IP feature quality. In addition, you will play an important role in helping to transfer technology and engineering expertise to a new engineering team.
Qualifications include:
- BS in EE/CS/CE, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and verification of digital systems in the communications, digital signal processing, embedded systems or related application space.
- Experience creating logic designs in Verilog or VHDL required.
- Direct hands-on experience in the use of industry standard EDA synthesis and simulation tools required.
- Direct experience with product development and release methodology (build, QA, source-control, etc.).
- Experience creating and verifying designs in any FPGA design tools is a plus.
- Strong theoretical background in communications system theory, digital signal processing or embedded systems is a plus.
- Fluency and experience in TCL, Perl or Shell-scripting is a plus.
- Experience in the development and testing of programs written in an object-oriented programming language is a plus.
- Demonstrated capability to work as a team player.
- Personal drive to work on challenging technical projects.
- A Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Must be a Vietnamese national or legally entitled to work in Vietnam.
