Hong Kong, August 20, 2009— Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Cytech Global Pte Ltd in six ASEAN countries. Cytech Global Pte Ltd is now an authorized Altera distributor in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam. This expanded agreement complements Altera’s existing distribution network in the Asia Pacific region.
“We have seen encouraging growth and increasing design activities in ASEAN countries and believe that the expanded agreement with Cytech Global Pte Ltd will enhance service and technical support for our customers. Cytech has an excellent sales and field applications team that has partnered with Altera in China for many years and I am confident that they will help Altera further expand its market position in ASEAN.” said Erhaan Shaikh, Regional Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Altera Corporation.
