Altera Showcases FPGAs for Enterprise Flash Memory Solutions

San Jose, Calif., August 4, 2011—Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced it will showcase its portfolio of FPGAs supporting multiple-channel flash control and non-volatile DIMM applications at Flash Memory Summit 2011. Altera's FPGAs provide high-performance, low-power alternatives with optimum flexibility for developing flash memory applications. Show attendees will see how Altera^® FPGAs enable new applications, including support for major interfaces used in flash memory applications such as multichannel ONFI and Toggle Mode, DDR3 memory, SAS/SATA protocols and the latest generation PCI Express^® (PCIe^®).

• AgigA Tech's high-speed, high-density, battery-free nonvolatile AGIGARAM products with Altera Cyclone III FPGAs:
  • Fuse NAND flash, DRAM and an ultracapacitor power source (PowerGEM) into a non-volatile memory system
