Altera Honored With Prestigious Manufacturer Award from the National Electronic Distributors Association
- Influential Trade Association Recognizes Altera for Outstanding Quality, Support, and Industry Involvement

San Jose, Calif., November 22, 1999--Altera Corporation (Nasdaq: ALTR) today announced that the Company has been awarded the coveted 1999 National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) Manufacturer Award. The NEDA Manufacturer Award has been presented by the trade association since 1990, and recognizes the manufacturer-supplier that best exemplifies the spirit of partnership and quality performance for the industry.
NEDA, a not-for-profit trade association representing distributors of electronic components and their manufacturer-suppliers, accepts nominations for the award from its 184 distributor member companies. Members must consider product quality, profitability issues, support and training, ease of doing business, the quality and availability of information, and industry involvement when making their selection. Past recipients of the NEDA Manufacturer Award include Advanced Micro Devices, Motorola, and Texas Instruments.
