Altera and Cypress Settle Lawsuit
San Jose, Calif., April 18, 2002 Altera Corporation (Nasdaq: ALTR) and Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (Nasdaq: CY) today announced they have settled the lawsuit brought by Cypress against Altera in June 2000 relating to Altera's acquisition of Right Track CAD Inc. The companies have agreed to release all claims against each other relating to Cypress's suit against Altera without any admission of liability. Terms of the settlement agreement are not being released.
