Learn How to Achieve the Best in DSP Performance with Altera's Code:DSP FPGA Solutions at GSPx 2005
San Jose, Calif., October 18, 2005—
What:
Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) will showcase its Code:DSP FPGA solutions at GSPx 2005 through panel discussions, presentations and booth demonstrations.
Misha Burich, Altera’s senior vice president of software and systems engineering, will highlight the performance and flexibility of FPGAs in digital signal processing (DSP) applications as a panel participant of “FPGAs vs. Processors: What’s the Right Choice for Signal Processing?” Burich will discuss how FPGAs offer an appealing choice for implementing high-performance DSP systems to signal processing engineers. The panel will examine the benefits and tradeoffs when designing and partitioning complex systems including DSPs, FPGAs, and/or general-purpose processors (GPPs).
Technical experts from Altera will also present papers on the tools, intellectual property (IP) cores and development platforms that enable system designers to implement a broad range of high-performance DSP designs using Altera’s industry-leading FPGAs.
Additionally, the following demonstrations will be on exhibit in Altera’s booth, number 213:
- The latest DSP design software for FPGAs
- Video and image processing, including H.264 compression
- Digital intermediate frequency (IF) modem design
