Altera Joins WiMAX Forum
Wireless Broadband Solutions Will Provide Cutting-Edge Flexibility, Expedited Time-To-Market
San Jose, Calif., May 24, 2005—Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR), a leading FPGA supplier to wireless product designers, today announced that it has joined the WiMAX Forum™, an industry-led, non-profit organization formed to promote and certify compatibility and interoperability of broadband wireless products based on the IEEE 802.16 standard.
