Industry veteran brings years of successful management experience and leadership to Altera
Hong Kong, November 1, 2006—Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced that David Shen has joined the company as regional vice president and managing director of the Asia Pacific region. Shen will be based in Altera’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong.
Shen brings over 18 years of semiconductor technical services, engineering, sales and marketing management experience to Altera. Most recently, Shen was vice president, technical marketing of Asia Pacific for Arrow Electronics, where he managed an organization of over 150 employees. At Arrow, Shen managed technical services, advanced technology, corporate marketing and supplier development. Shen’s previous experience includes management positions at ON Semiconductor in Asia Pacific and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.
