Hong Kong, October 13,2008—Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced its Nios® II Embedded Processor received the Editor’s Choice Award in the Embedded Series category from Electronic Engineering & Product World (EEPW) Magazine in China.
This annual award recognizes embedded technologies or products that offer cutting-edge performance, break-through applications and technology, and competitive pricing. The winners were chosen by editors, industry experts, and online voters.
Altera’s Nios II embedded processor is a configurable, 32-bit FPGA-based soft microprocessor used in a wide variety of applications and end markets, including communications, broadcast and automotive.
