Find out About IEC61508 and Functional Safety Implementation with FPGA Devices
In association with TÜV Rheinland and EBV, Altera has organized a free, two-hour seminar to present the latest information on implementing functional safety in industrial applications. Meet the experts and find out more about the implications for your development projects.
Agenda:
- Outline of an IEC61508 development process
- Why do development tools need to be considered?
- What are the requirements for development tools (tools, libraries, intellectual property)?
- Proven in-use approach of already used tools in prior developments
- Toolchain qualification - What is/is not covered by toolchain qualification?
- How to get failure rates and soft error rates for silicon devices?
- Why use FPGAs in safety-critical designs?
- Concepts for IEC61508 SIL3 designs using FPGAs
There will be plenty of time for questions and discussions with representatives from TÜV Rheinland, Altera, and EBV after the seminar.
The seminar is free of charge but seats are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. We expect the seminar to be very popular, so make sure your place is reserved by signing up today! Experts from TÜV Rheinland will be available at the Altera booth in Hall 6, Booth 302 to discuss any safety-related questions you may have in detail.
