Course Description

This course has Simplified Chinese audio. This first online training in the “Developing Software for the Nios® II Processor” series is a great place to start if you are new to the Nios II embedded soft processor core and Altera’s embedded offerings. You will be introduced to the embedded software tools available for the Nios II processor as part of the Nios II Embedded Design Suite (EDS). You will also get an overview of the available IP, software packages, operating systems, device drivers and development kits. This training contains useful links to resources and support information.

At Course Completion

You will be able to:
  • Understand the embedded tools & software provided with the Nios II EDS
  • Understand the software tools available for the Nios II processor from Altera & Altera’s partners
  • Understand IP cores, device drivers, operating systems, software packages such as network stacks, graphics libraries, file systems etc. & development kits
  • Understand where to go to get more information on resources & support
