Course Description
Learn about the Nios® II embedded soft processor v. 11.0, Qsys & Nios II Software Build Tools for Eclipse. Learn to use Qsys to develop & configure customized Nios II processor-based hardware systems. Learn the basics of the Avalon Standard Interface and Qsys’s high performance network-on-a-programmable-chip architecture. Learn to develop software for FPGAs & use Nios II Development Kits for prototyping. We discuss components & peripherals to use with the kits & how to incorporate your own custom logic into a system.At Course Completion
You will be able to:- Configure the Nios II embedded processor using the Quartus® II software and Qsys tool
- Be comfortable with the Nios II Software Build Tools for Eclipse software development environment
- Understand the design flows that feature the Nios II processor
- Generate Nios II processor hardware description language (HDL) output files from Qsys

- Background in digital logic design

- Some knowledge of programming in C for embedded systems
