Course Description
This course introduces you to the Nios® II processor v. 6.0 C-to-Hardware (C2H) Acceleration Compiler tool. You will learn how to use the Nios II C2H Compiler to create a hardware accelerator from a function in your Nios II C software code. The class will also cover details about how the Nios II C2H Compiler converts common C language constructs into equivalent hardware, and how the Nios II C2H Compiler is able to dramatically increase the performance of some functions through the use of parallelism and scheduling. You will also learn some techniques for optimizing your C code to help the Nios II C2H Compiler produce the most efficient accelerator possible. Note: the Nios II IDE and SOPC Builder tools are required to use the Nios II C2H Compiler. At Course Completion
