A. Depending on the type of issue, you can get assistance in these ways:

Q. How do I register for a specific course or class?
A. To register:
- Navigate to the instructor led class or online course you want to register for.
- Select “Register“
- You will be prompted to enter in your account information. Please use your myAltera user name and login. If you do not have a myAltera account, please select the option to create a myAltera account and follow the account registration process directions.
- If you cannot remember your myAltera user name or password, you can request to have them sent to you.
Q. What do I do when I am having problems registering with my myAltera account?
A. Go to myAltera Account Help for information on the steps to follow to register for an account. If after following these steps, you still cannot logon successfully, call Technical Support at 1-800-800-3753.
Privacy and Security Questions
Q. How secure is the site?
A. Altera is very concerned about your security. All information is transported to the web server using the industry-standard secure sockets layer (SSL) protocol. SSL-encryption technology makes it virtually impossible for intruders to read your personal information during transmission to the website.
Q. Who can see my registered classes?
A. Besides you, only Altera technical service specialists and web developers can see your registered classes. Because your Altera login name and password are required to access your account, we strongly encourage you to store them in a safe place and not to share the information with anyone.
Q. What should I do if I think my myAltera account's security has been compromised?

Class Registration and Cancellation Questions
Q. How do I decide which courses I should take?
A. Altera Training offers suggested curriculum to help you enhance your knowledge and aid in your designs using Altera® products. Review the list of available curriculum.
Q. How can I check my registration status?
A. You can check the status of your registered class by going to Manage My Courses. You can also contact Altera Technical Training by telephone at 1-888-830-4100 or 1-408-544-7832 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. What is Altera's North America class cancellation policy?
A. If you need to cancel your registration, you must inform Altera at least five business days before the class is scheduled to receive either a 100% refund or a training credit that you can use to enroll in another class. Altera will not refund any part of the registration fee if you cancel within five business days of the scheduled class. In that case, you will receive a training credit that you can use to enroll in another class.
Altera reserves the right to reschedule or cancel classes one week prior to the scheduled date. Registered participants will be informed of any such changes.
Q. Can I attend a course outside of the United States and Canada?
A. Yes. Altera Training Partners teach classes outside of the U.S. and Canada. Get more information about Altera Training Partners.
Q. What do I do if I can’t find a class scheduled when I need it or where I need it?
A. You can request a private class. Alternatively, you can complete a request for a class in your area, or you can submit a general question.
Q. How do I pay for my registered courses?
A. In North America, you can pay for Altera training classes and onsite training classes by check or credit card. Detailed instructions will be provided during the registration process.
Q. How many days in advance do I have to pay to get a confirmed seat in the class?
A. In North America, Altera must receive payment one week before the start date of a class. Your class enrollment is only guaranteed on receipt of payment.
