Learn advanced features of Quartus II design software that will enable you to shorten your design cycle as well as improve your design performance and utilization.

Designing with the Nios II Processor and SOPC Builder

This course will teach you how easy it is to design in a soft core Nios® II embedded processor with an Altera®  FPGA. This course is focused on the hands-on development of Nios II hardware and software using the Nios II Development Kit

Developing Software for the Nios II Processor

This course is targeted at Software Engineers or Developers. You will learn to develop and run embedded software for the Nios II processor in the Nios II Integrated Development Environment (IDE). You will also be exposed to a few hardware concepts including how a Nios II 32-bit microprocessor is configured.

Implementing DSP Designs in FPGAs

Learn the FPGA design flow for implementing DSP designs. You will use DSP Builder which is an interface between Quartus II software and The MathWorks MATLAB and Simulink products. You will analyze, design and implement DSP systems using the DSP Builder blockset in MATLAB Simulink.  You will incorporate intellecturl property (IP) cores into your DSP designs by configuring FIR filters, numerically controlled oscillator (NCO) and fast Fourier transform (FFT) MegaCore®  functions.

Signal Integrity

Learn to estimate, calculate, and simulate signal integrity issues before they arise. The target of this course is to give a better understanding of reflections, cross-talk, ground-bounce and supply ripple being important parameters in any design. The course includes both theory and hands-on lab exercises.
