Altera’s second 40-nm FPGA delivers the capabilities of a high-end FPGA at the price of a low cost FPGA. Arria® II GX FPGAs are based on a full-featured 40-nm FPGA fabric that includes adaptive logic modules (ALMs), rich digital signal processing (DSP) resources, embedded RAM, and built-in PCIe interfaces. This makes Arria II GX FPGAs ideal for higher volume applications that require higher processing capability. The Arria II GX FPGA's high-performance FPGA fabric with 3.75-Gbps transceivers enables the next-generation infrastructure for digital video to be built at an affordable price.
The Arria II GX FPGA family offers a range of devices from 45K to 260K logic elements, provides up to 11.8 Mb of memory, and supports up to 16 transceivers. Arria II GX FPGAs support vertical migration, which allows you the flexibility of starting your designs today with one device and, if desired, moving to a different density device later.
