Nova Engineering, Inc. specializes in the design and development of leading-edge communications and signal processing systems. Nova has comprehensive experience in military, government, and commercial electronics, with an emphasis on state-of-the-art digital communications systems. Nova's innovative solutions have resulted in numerous patents and a series of successfully deployed communications and signal processing systems.
Embedded real-time signal processing, programmable logic devices (PLDs), and ASICs play a major role in virtually every Nova product. The signal processing techniques are as diverse as forward error correction (FEC) (e.g., BCH, Reed-Solomon, and Nadler functions), Kalman filters, digital modulation/demodulation, and low-rate, toll-quality vocoders. Nova's experience in communication product design has led to rapid prototyping using VHDL and PLDs to take advantage of the value provided by programmable logic and module re-use.
