Features Provides a direct interface between the Z80 microprocessor systems and peripheral devices Has two ports with interrupt-driven handshaking for fast response Has four programmable operating modes: Output mode (both ports) Input mode (both ports) Bidirectional (port A only) Bit control mode (both ports) Has programmable interrupts on peripheral status conditions Block Diagram Description The CZ80PIO parallel I/O circuit is a programmable dual-port device controller megafunction. The CZ80PIO is configured as an interface for a wide range of peripheral devices such as keyboards, printers, paper table readers, PROM programmers, etc. Device Utilization & Performance Table 1 lists the typical device utilization results for the megafunction.
