EDA ACCESS Partner Profile: Agilent

  Agilent Technologies

Overview

Agilent EEsof EDA is the leading supplier of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software for high-frequency system, circuit, and modeling applications. These applications include signal integrity, as well as RF and microwave designs for the commercial wireless, aerospace, and defense markets.

Tools

As data rates increase, signal integrity engineers are discovering the power of the Advanced Design System (ADS) from Agilent EEsof, which has been the industry-standard, high-frequency design EDA tool for over two decades. ADS provides the most complete serial link analysis for high-speed board designs. Table 1 lists Agilent’s design tools that support Altera devices.

Board Verification ADS ADS provides end-to-end analysis of multi-gigabit serial links and offers seamless mixed-signal simulation between a variety of simulation technologies, including frequency and time-domain models, Stratix® II GX transceiver model library, physical (EM), Verilog-A, MATLAB, S-parameters, non-linear transistor level devices, Agilent Ptolemy-based digital signal processing (DSP) components, C++, System-C, and HDL models. This allows thorough analysis of complex systems to predict bit-error rate (BER) performance.
