Make the Move From MAX+PLUS II to Quartus II Software

To use the MAX+PLUS II BASELINE software, download and install the following two files: the MAX+PLUS II BASELINE version 10.2 executable file (baseline10_2.exe), and the MAX+PLUS II BASELINE license file.

If your designs include VHDL or Verilog hardware definition language (HDL), you can use third-party synthesis software from Mentor Graphics, Synopsys, or Synplicity, or you can download the MAX+PLUS II Advanced Synthesis software to use with MAX+PLUS II BASELINE software. You can also upgrade to the Quartus II Web Edition software that now includes integrated VHDL and Verilog HDL synthesis, delivers the fastest push-button performance for MAX 7000B, MAX 7000AE, and MAX 3000A designs, and supports selected devices from all of Altera's mainstream device families.

Altera users can also request the Altera Design Software Starter Suite CD-ROM, which includes Quartus II Web Edition software.
