The following MAX+PLUS® II software products are available for existing designs but are not recommended for new designs. The Quartus II software now includes a MAX+PLUS II user interface setting that makes transitioning from MAX+PLUS II software to Quartus II software effortless.
The MAX+PLUS II design software supports the Altera ACEX, FLEX, MAX, and mature programmable logic device (PLD) families and integrates with industry-standard design entry, synthesis, and verification tools. The MAX+PLUS II software is available upon request to Altera software subscription customers. The new MAX II CPLD family is not supported in the MAX+PLUS II software.
The MAX+PLUS II BASELINE software is a subset of the MAX+PLUS II software that is targeted at the MAX 7000 and MAX 3000 devices—and mature Altera devices. The MAX+PLUS II BASELINE software can be downloaded from the Altera web site. The new MAX II device family is not supported in the MAX+PLUS II BASELINE software.
