Error: Kernel mode driver not installed
Solution
You receive this error message if you do not have programming hardware drivers set up in the Quartus® II software. To set up drivers, follow instructions for the appropriate driver and operating system in the Altera® Programming Cable Driver information webpage.
You may also receive this error if your parallel port on your system is not set to ECP/Bi-directional. If this may be the case you will have to go into the BIOS of your machine and set the parallel port or printer port to ECP mode.
