Title
The performance of the TCP/IP protocol, when used with the NicheStack stack and the Altera® Triple Speed Ethernet (TSE) MAC, appears to have degraded in Nios® II EDS, version 7.2 and 8.0. Why is this occurring?
Description
A problem was identified in the TSE MAC, version 7.2 and 8.0, which can result in sporadic loss of received Ethernet packets. Altera is working to resolve this issue, and a fix will be available shortly. For the time being, customers are encouraged to use version 7.1 of the Altera tools if their application's TCP/IP performance needs are not met.
