Problem
Are there any problems related to the OpenCore Plus evaluation feature for IP cores in the Quartus II software version 7.1?
Solution
Yes, there is a known problem in the Quartus® II software version 7.1 (and 7.1 SP1) that affects designs using the OpenCore Plus feature to evaluate intellectual property (IP), including the Nios® II processor, instead of a full license for the IP core.
The problem may cause designs to function incorrectly on the board or in timing simulation. Refer to the Related Solutions section below for more details.
This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 7.2, available from the Download Center.
To fix this problem in the Quartus II software version 7.1 SP1, install the appropriate patch below. If you are using version 7.1, install service pack 1 from the Download Center before installing the patch.
