Title
Arria GX Device Handbook: Known Issues
Description
Issue 10006612, Volume 1, Chapter 4 "DC and Switching Characteristics" Version 2.0
Note 3 of Table 4-115 does not have the correct VCO frequency specification. It should read as follows:
(3) The input clock frequency and the W factor must satisfy the following fast PLL VCO specification: 150 <= input clock frequency × W <= 840.
Issue 10006613, Volume 2, Chapter 5 "PLLs in Arria GX Devices" Version 1.2
There are two locations that show the incorrect VCO operating frequency of the PLL.
Note 5 of Figure 5-6 should read as follows:
(5) If the design enables this ÷2 counter, the device can use a VCO frequency range of 150 to 420 MHz.
Pages 5-33 through 5-34 should state "You should choose the secondary clock frequency so the VCO operates within the recommended range of 300 to 840 MHz."
Issue 10003010, Volume 1, Chapter 2 "Arria GX Architecture" Version 1.3
Note 3 in table 2-25 states the following for the LVDS VCCIO requirements:
"VCCIO is 3.3 V when using this I/O standard in input and output column clock pins (in I/O banks 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10,11, and 12)."
This note should say: "LVDS input and output operations in I/O banks 9-12 require 3.3V for operation. These banks are powered by the VCC_PLL[5,6,11,12]_OUT pins. LVDS input operations are supported on the dedicated clock pins in I/O banks 3,4,7, and 8 which are powered by VCCINT."
Resolved Issues
Issue 10003867, Volume 1, Chapter 3 "Configuration and Testing" Version 1.3
The Temperature Sensing Diode is not supported by Arria® GX devices, this section of the handbook has been removed.
