Problem

Does the Quartus II software version 3.0 support remote system configuration in Stratix and Stratix GX devices?

Solution

The Quartus® II software version 3.0 does not support remote system configuration in Stratix® and Stratix GX devices due to an internal problem in the SOF file generated for remote system configuration use. SOF files generated by the Quartus II software versions 3.0, 3.0 SP1 and 3.0 SP2 do not support remote update.

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus II software version 4.0.
