Are the JTAG ID codes for Stratix II production devices different from ES devices?
Solution
The EP2S60 is the only Stratix II device offered with ES ordering codes. The EP2S60 JTAG IDCODE is different for production and ES devices. You can verify this by running JTAGCONFIG command. The JTAG IDCODE is 120930DD for the EP2S60 production device. The JTAG IDCODE is 020930DD for EP2S60 ES device.
