Course Description
In this online course you will learn how to build a PCI Express endpoint using available Altera solutions. You will investigate how to create a PCI Express design block in the Quartus® II software v. 7.1 using the PCI Express Compiler. Also, you will see how that design block is implemented in a Stratix® II GX or Arria® GX device.
At Course Completion
- Implement a PCI Express endpoint in a Stratix II GX or Arria GX device
- Configure the Altera PCI Express MegaCore® IP functions to solve your PCI Express design challenges
- Configure the Stratix II GX and Arria GX high-speed transceivers for the PCI Express protocol
- Take advantage of additional PCI Express material and solutions offered by Altera

- An understanding of basic FPGA design flow
