Financial Retirement Planning Education

Altera provides a variety of benefits to help you maintain financial security during different stages of your life and your family’s life.  Disability, life insurance, accident insurance, and retirement savings opportunities are just a few examples of benefits that provide additional financial security.

401K / Retirement

Employees may elect to participate in the Altera® Corporation 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan at any time. The Plan, administered by
Fidelity, offers you a wide range of investment options to assist you in planning your personal retirement fund.

Altera helps your retirement savings grow by matching every $1 you contribute up to $4,500 annually with immediate vesting.

Altera’s 401(k) plan also includes a Roth 401(k) feature. By offering both a traditional 401(k) and a Roth 401(k), Altera provides
you with important tools to plan your retirement.

We offer classes and seminars to help you prepare for your retirement. Multiple times a year you can have a private financial retirement session with Fidelity to review your benefits portfolio.

The Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) gives you an opportunity to buy Altera stock at a 15% discount, through simple payroll deductions.  This program lets you share in the company’s financial success.   Enrollment for ESPP is twice a year.

Life and AD&D

Life and accident insurance coverage provides you and your family with important financial security. Altera Corporation provides all
eligible employees with an employer-paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefit of two times your eligible annual salary.
