Overview

The Any Gigabit Transport Core is designed to support standard Fibre Channel applications such point-to-point or fabric topologies. On the Client side, the Core implements a 128-Bit FIFO interface running asynchronously from the Fibre Channel line clock. The FC-2 Layer provides services such as CRC generation / check, generate Fibre Compliant frames and maintain buffer-to-buffer credit and necessary Fibre Channel timers. The Core, on the line side, implements a 32-Bit XGMII interface for 10, 16 and 32GFC applications and a 32-Bit 8b/10b encode interface for 1, 2, 4 and 8GFC operation.
