Software Update Details

This update can only be used with MAX+PLUS II version 9.21, 9.22, 9.23, or 9.24 for PCs or 9.21 for Sun Solaris or HP workstations. Do not use this update with any other version. You should download and install this update if you wish to add the following support to MAX+PLUS II version 9.21, 9.22, 9.23, or 9.24.

  • Fixes programmming error in the version 9.24a update that affected EPM7128E, EPM7128S, EPM7128A, EPM7256E, EPM7256S, or EPM7256A devices with the Altera® Master Programming Unit (MPU). Programming with this software version and the MPU can cause permanent damage to the devices. This problem does not affect EPM7128AE or EPM7256AE devices. New
  • Includes all updates from the version 9.22 and 9.23 updates
  • Enhanced ClockLock frequency for FLEX® 10KE devices (up to 140 MHz)
  • Serial Vector Format (SVF) support for MAX 7000AE fixed-algorithm devices
  • Fixes fatal application error that may occur when creating a JamTM File or Jam Byte-Code File for a very long JTAG chain
  • Fixes a synthesis problem in which a hard CASCADE buffer causes part of the cascade chain to be incorrectly synthesized away
  • Provides improved timing information for EPF10K30E, EPF10K50S, and EPF10K50E devices
  • Enables ClockLockTM support for dual-port RAM in FLEX 10KE devices
  • Corrects Programmer error that incorrectly read POFs out of ClassicTM and MAX 5000 devices
