MAX+PLUS II Advanced Synthesis Software Version 1.0

MAX+PLUS II Advanced Synthesis Software Version 1.01

This software runs stand-alone from a command line or simple graphical user interface (GUI) to perform VHDL and Verilog hardware definition language (HDL) synthesis and output edif files that can be imported into MAX+PLUS® II or MAX+PLUS II BASELINE projects. Altera does not recommend that customers use the VHDL and Verilog HDL synthesis support included in the MAX+PLUS II software.

The MAX+PLUS II and MAX+PLUS II BASELINE software do support CPLDs and low-density FPGAs, however, the Quartus® II and no-cost Quartus II Web Edition software include integrated VHDL and Verilog synthesis support and provide better push-button performance and fitting results for supported families. Quartus II and Quartus II Web Edition software already include support for many device families previously only supported by the MAX+PLUS® II software, including the MAX® 3000A, MAX 7000AE, MAX 7000B, FLEX 10KE, ACEX 1K, and FLEX® 6000 families and selected support for devices from all of Altera's newest device families. The next releases of the Quartus II and Quartus II Web Edition software will also include support for the MAX 7000S and FLEX 10K® device families.
