Intel® FPGA for OpenCL™ kernel code file name restrictions

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

Ensure that your kernel code file name is not "kernel.cl" because "kernel" is an OpenCL reserved word.

Also, ensure that your kernel code file name does not contain any reserved Verilog, or VHDL keywords.

If you attempt to compile a file with a name that contains any OpenCL, Verilog, or VHDL reserved words, the compiler fails.

Resolution

Avoid using OpenCL, Verilog, or VHDL keywords in your OpenCL kernel code file names.
