Check your system PATH environment variable. If there are multiple semi-colons at the end of your path, remove the extra semi-colons. Also verify that the total length of your system PATH environment variable is less than 1,200 characters.
After modifying your PATH environment variable, restart the Nios® II IDE, and the Debug... menu choice should work.
