What do I do if I get the error, "Program failure: FLASH bulk erase unsuccessful -- check device Vpp supply voltage" when programming an EPC2 device with the MAX PLUS® II software version 10.12?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description In addition to the suggestion to check the device VPP supply voltage mentioned in the error message, this error message can occur when programming an EPC2 device with a Programmer Object File (.pof) in the MAX PLUS II software version 10.12 due to a problem within the MAX PLUS II software.

There is a patch (M9) for the MAX PLUS II software version 10.12 available from Altera Applications. To obtain the patch, contact file a service request on-line at mySupport.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of the MAX PLUS II software
