How can I view and edit register contents in my Nios II embedded processor without downloading an elf file?

Environment

  • Nios® II Processor
    • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description You can use the FS2 (First Silicon Solutions) Console to examine and edit register contents on the target hardwarewithout downloading an elf file. Type "nios2-console" in the Nios II SDK shell to launch the FS2 Console window. The FS2 document located at <NiosII install>/bin/fs2/doc/Nios-Getting-Started.pdf has details on how to view and edit the registers.
