Why do I get an internal error when I select "Use FS2 console window for trace and watchpoint support" in the Nios II IDE debugger during FS2 launch?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

You may receive an internal error during FS2 launch if you have a Beta version of Nios® II EDS 7.1 installed on your machine along with the release version of 7.1.

 

To workaround this problem, uninstall any Beta version of the Nios II EDS version 7.1.
