How should I configure the Auto_Negotiation feature of the Triple-Speed Ethernet IP Core when using SGMII mode?

Environment

  • Ethernet
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

You should set 0 to both AUTO_NEGOTIATION_ENABLE and USE_SGMII_AN registers of the Triple-Speed Ethernet MegaCore® Function to turn off SGMII Auto-Negotiation feature.

To turn on SGMII Auto-Negotiation feature, you should set 1 to both AUTO_NEGOTIATION_ENABLE and USE_SGMII_AN registers. For more details of SGMII configuration, refer to Triple-Speed Ethernet System with SGMII section of Triple-Speed Ethernet MegaCore Function User Guide (PDF).
