Error: Time stamp of file 'filename' is greater than the time stamp of the current CNF(s) -- check operating system time (MAX PLUS® II)

Description

You may receive this error when moving files from one system to another if the time or date on the source system is newer than the time or date on the destination system.

To correct this problem, perform the following steps on the destination system:

To fix the problem on UNIX workstations, update the time stamp of the files by performing the following: Use the touch command to change the time stamp by typing touch <file name.ext> at a UNIX prompt.

To fix the problem on PCs, update the time stamp of the files by performing the following steps:

For EDIF Input Files (.edf):

  1. Open the file.
  2. Add a carriage return to the end of the file.
  3. Save the file.

For graphic or text design files:

  1. Open the .gdf, .tdf, .vhd or .v file.
  2. Add a comment.
  3. Save the file.

You may also see this error if you are designing in VHDL and have not properly selected the VHDL version (1993 or 1987). Ensure that you select the VHDL version that properly reflects your coding style.
