Course Description

This training is part 4 of 4. The Qsys system integration tool saves significant time by automatically generating interconnect logic to connect intellectual property (IP) functions and subsystems. In this training you will learn about some advanced capabilities of the tool. In the final part, you will learn about creating hierarchical Qsys system designs. This powerful feature helps in organizing system components and in creating reusable systems. Subsystems can be created from scratch or, using features in Qsys, easily created from components already added to and connected in existing Qsys systems. You'll learn how to make connections between levels of the hierarchy, ensuring that master components can access any slave in any level.

At Course Completion

You will be able to:

  • Build hierarchical Qsys systems from scratch or using components in existing systems
  • Connect subsystems into upper-level systems using exported interfaces
  • Use pipeline bridges in subsystems to improve performance and simplify connections
