OpenCL is a standard for writing parallel programs for heterogeneous systems. In the FPGA environment, OpenCL constructs are synthesized into custom logic. This course introduces to the students the basic concepts of parallel computing including the approaches to solving the challenges involved with programming. An overview of the OpenCL standards will be discussed along with the advantages of using the Intel FPGA OpenCL solution.
